About

I was first introduced to photography at age eight when sent off to a School camp with the family Agfa Voitlander camera.  After seeing the exciting results, I developed a natural passion for Photography and the mechanics behind what makes it all work.

Completing bursary Photography (with a first place) I’d spend many hours in my home built dark room.  My first job at age 18 was as a printer in a photo lab where I spent seven interesting  years receiving training from my Employer (an ex air force photographer) & Kodak NZ for my printing training.

I then gained a further four years experience digital printing in another lab whilst doing on-going printing training with Fuji NZ during the rapid change over to digital.  Gaining experience freelancing in my spare time during this 11 years in lab was invaluable as was completing a Diploma of Freelance Photography in Sept 2000.  I also developed experience in digital editing during this time.  Whilist raising a family over the last five years I have continued my Freelance work with the growing requests from people.

I find my photography is the truest means of self-expression and I am inspired by any challenge which allows me to capture that special moment.

I can adapt easily to any location in and around the Nelson region including - Golden Bay, Abel Tasman National Park, Kaiteri teri, Lake Rotoiti & the Marlbourgh Sounds.

Studio photo shoots are also available from my home and are always alot of fun.  High quality image’s will be your end result.
